JAKARTA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese No. 5 Mixed Double players Zheng Bo/ Ma Jin won Sunday a victory in the Indonesia Open 2009 Super Series after trashed the No. 2 Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung in a tough match ended 2117, 218 and 2116.
"This victory is very important for us to improve our confidence in the continuing tournaments," Zheng Bo told a press conference held after the match here.
Zheng Bo and Ma Jin are newly-paired Mixed double players. Most of their contenders are yet to have much reference of their playing, Zheng said.
"Many of our contenders are yet to have knowledge on our performance. Besides that, we have certain standard quality before deployed in an international tournament. All of those factors have improved our confidence in facing our contenders," Zheng said. He was accompanied by Ma Jin during the press conference.
The match was filled with thrilling long rallies and exchanging smashes between the two players ended in 58 minutes.
Zheng Bo celebrated the victory by kneeling down on the court and shout out loud.
The Chinese pair received gold medals and 18,750 U.S. dollars inrewards for their victory.
